Meantime Kölner – on a nice sunny evening

I had a lovely Meantime Kölner (style beer?) at The Florence. It was nice and sunny – a perfect end to my working day… The Meantime Kölner is “atop & warm fermented ale, that has had a period of cold conditioning (largering)” – 4.8%. I am thinking this is a version of what is really called Kölsch style beer – but that’s protected IP so hence the variation on the name… You can’t find this one on the website of Meantime Brewing. So, I am guessing this is a seasonal or special brew of the pub circuit. It rates highly!

Meantime Kolner Rating:

  • Overall – 8.7
  • Taste/flavor – 9
  • Body – 8
  • Color/texture – 9

Note: here’s a wild addition to this post, I started this post on Twitter and finished here. Cool.
