I was on holiday at the end of July in Cornwall with the family. We had good weather and we had a great holiday that was relaxing and fun… Along the way, I managed to taste 8 local real ales. I rated then 1 to 5 starts. Here’s my report:

  • Doom Bar, Sharp’s Brewery in Rock: 3 Stars ***
  • Tribute, St Austell Brewery: 3 Stars ***
  • St Piran;s Ale, Skinners Brewey in Truto: 4.5 Stars ****+ (the best of the holiday!)
  • HSD, St Austell: 2 Stars **
  • Betty Stogs Bitter, Skinners: 4 Stars **** (only 4% so a potential session beer)
  • Admiral’s Ale, St Austell: 4 Stars ****
  • Cornish Mutiny, Wooden Hand Brewery, Truro: 2 Stars **
  • Eden Pure Alse Sharp’s: 3 Stars *** (and for a good cause The Eden Project)
